Architecture EL, Inc. is hiring a Construction Documents Expert (CDE). We’re offering a flexible hybrid work schedule, retirement plan with company match, generous vacation time and additional paid holidays, and employer contribution to the company health plan.

Capable candidates will have at least 5 years’ experience, with expertise in CADD/BIM & production of construction documents. Experience in construction and assembling proficient construction drawings is required.

The ideal candidate demonstrates the following skills and abilities:

  • Ability to produce thorough Construction Documents, perform internal document reviews and quality control
  • Organized, contributes positively in a team environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Experienced with multiple types of building projects in a variety of sectors.
  • Expertise with renovation and new construction; wood frame, steel frame, and masonry
  • In-depth understanding of Zoning, MA Building Code, IEBC, IBC, IECC and 521 CMR
  • Proof of clean driving record, and valid driver’s license

You will also be asked to provide:

  • 3 professional references
  • Writing sample (300-500 words); such as a personal; statement, narrative, code review or proposal for design services
  • Free hand sketch with notation

We are seeking a capable candidate with a graduate degree in Architecture, interested in advancing their career as an intern Architect.  We support and mentor all NCARB candidates in the professional advancement. Prior internships and experience are a plus.  Critical thinking skills, problem solving, eagerness to learn and join a diverse team with an expansive project inventory- including Residential (single-family and multi-family) commercial municipal, historic, accessible,  new and renovation based structures.  You will:

  • Work in close collaboration with project Principal on all aspects of design and its development.
  • Create graphic presentations to convey design thinking.
  • Produce Drawings and Models in CADD/BIM.
  • Participate in client meetings and design presentations.
  • Work closely with site designers/landscape architects, interior designers, graphic designers and other consultants on design concepts and development.

The above duties, all require personal competency, and motivation, and drive to deliver your best work.

The position is salaried, full time with benefits and hybrid and in-office/remote working options.
