What began with a modest $200 donation from a single donor, has grown into a premier event with incredible impact. Over the years funds raised have increased to reflect the event’s growth and even more significantly, the local economic activity generated has been estimated at over $20 million. Parade weekend brings in over 350,000 visitors to the area!

During Parade weekend, downtown Holyoke comes to life with vendors, food trucks, and celebrations in bars and restaurants featuring the region’s talented bands. The Holyoke St. Patrick’s Day Road Race has grown from less than two hundred runners to attracting thousands, including world-class and Olympian runners Frank Shorter and Bill Rogers. This year Kevin’s daughter, Brynna, and future son-in-law, Will, joined the race. Then the family enjoyed post-race beverages at Iron Duke Brewing.

The East of the River Five Town Chamber of Commerce (ERC5) promotes an environment that fosters the economic growth of the towns of East Longmeadow, Hampden, Longmeadow, Ludlow, and Wilbraham, MA, through the creation and expansion of businesses and jobs. Gandara Center

Founded in 1977 to advocate and provide for equal services in the Hispanic community, Gándara Center delivers quality bilingual behavioral health, substance use and preventative services for a diverse clientele of nearly  15,000 children, adults and families each year in 100 locations across Massachusetts. 

Harwich Chamber

Harwich Chamber serves the community, offering seven villages, 21 beaches and ponds, natural beauty, and an abundance of Harwich arts and culture, Harwich dining, Harwich history, and Harwich Retail shopping. There is so much to savor and celebrate in the town of Harwich and they aim to help the community experience all that Harwich has to offer. They invite the community to stop by the Harwich Information Center, located at One Schoolhouse Road (off Route 28) in the heart of Harwich Port, as they are open year-round.

AEL’s Architects, Kevin and Rick, paid a visit to their “old stomping grounds” on the campus of Roger Williams University (RWU) this past Spring for “Resume Night” with aspiring future Architects! They met the future generation of Architects, shared their experience in the professional field, along with a few “tips of the trade,” and reminisced about their time attending RWU.

Those who are a part of the Cummings School of Architecture study Architecture, Art and Architectural History, Preservation Studies, Preservation Practices, Real Estate, and Urban and Regional Planning in RWU’s NEA and AIA award-winning 65,000-square-foot building. The Cummings School of Architecture building, originally opened in 1987 and thoroughly renovated in 2021, balances individual study and work, group collaborations, and events.  

From collaborating on projects in top-notch design studios, to working with real clients in paid internships and partnering with communities to make positive change, RWU’s Cummings School of Architecture students are well prepared for leadership in professional practice, service and individual creative pursuits upon graduation. 

The talent that Kevin and Rick met at Roger Williams University was incredible. Today’s students have a bright future ahead of them!
